Bunny Birthday Cakes

Celebrate your bunny’s birthday with this gourmet cake that will surely be a hit! The cake is made of two loofah’s soaked in strawberry, orange or blueberry juice (depending on which cake you choose) and dehydrated for 10 hours. The bottom loofah center is cut out, A thin layer of banana & strawberry/orange/blueberry puree hold the two loofahs together, while the outside of the cake is coated with an oat flour/fruit mixture. It is then garnished with cookies, a fruit-soaked loofah center or dried fruits; vegetables; herbs and flowers. The finished cake is then dehydrated for 12-16 hours. Voila! A cake is all set for your rabbit to enjoy their birthday, gotcha day or "just because" treat.

 

All of our cakes are made with loofah's soaked in fresh squeezed fruit juice and rinsed in a water bath to decrease sugar content. From there we dehydrate them and coat with an oat flour fruit mixture. Our last step is to garnish the cakes with dried fruits, herbs, flowers and pre-made oat flour cookies. What are the benefits of loofahs?

Well, they are known as "natures dental floss". In its raw form, loofahs are

part of the pumpkin, squash and gourd family. They are known as a

vegetable, used in a variety of dishes in Asian cuisine. In its dry form, we

know them to be used for cleaning, whether it be for cleaning in your home

or in soap to exfoliate your skin. But in its unbleached, dry form, it can also

be used as a chew or gnaw for rabbits to grind their teeth on due to its rich

density.  Rabbit teeth continuously grow throughout their lives, just like wild

rabbits need to chew on dense foods to grind their teeth, so do their

domestic counterparts. With the added benefit of delicious ingredients to 

help entice picky eaters; you can be certain our delicious loofah gnaws

will be a huge hit while also helping your rabbit grind down those pearly 

white teeth of theirs.
